Babbit is a multifunctional high fidelity speaker made for families with preschool kids.

The speaker plays music on Spotify, USB (MP3, FLAC) and online streams, giving the parents the freedom to curate music, podcasts, audio books, stories, and educational audio materials to engage and entertain their kids.

Babbit comes with interactive cards and tune tag stickers for kids to explore a variety of music. The cards are categorised into seven colours reflecting their mood; each card has a pre-selected playlist of 20–25 songs compiled by music experts to diversify their music experience. The kids only have to place the cards on the flap panel of the speaker to enjoy music based on their choice and mood.

The tune tag stickers give kids the power to use their favourite toys to access and enjoy the curated playlists when attached and placed on the speaker.

Babbit has a mobile app for parents to link the interactive cards and the tune tag stickers to Spotify or MP3 playlists.

Babbit body is made from wood, it’s eco-friendly packaging designed by Stora Enso was awarded the German Packaging Award 2021 in Functionality & Convenience.

Product of a Latvian startup, Babbit is on exhibition at the Latvia pavilion.
